My name is Nicki Rogers. I have lived in Lancashire for the past 7 years however being born in Bolton I class myself as a full Northern lass.​

Many years ago in the early 90s, my parents set up a wooden clock making business, designing and building clocks from scratch, the name they developed was Frogies and for 15 years they worked hard to create designs that were unique and special and something that not many others could do.​

Fast forward to now, I have taken on the mantle of Frogies and, with Dad as my guidance, am also working hard to create pieces that are just a bit different. Dad has been helping me learn techniques to make the best creation and look for all my work. Although I have been creating with my hands for many years, since I was at school, I have valued my Dads teachings to take my work to the next few levels up, good enough to sell.​

After spending most of my life teaching people in some form or another, and creating things as a pastime, I have decided to fully immerse myself into the world of wood. ​

Working with wood is like nothing else, the beauty of each line of grain, each knot and each live edge is unique. The feel when the surface is sanded and polished is like silk. ​

When I choose my wood, I base my decision on aesthetics and character, rather than perfect straight lines and uniformity. I like the fact that my designs are one offs, unique and not easily repeatable. My aim is for each item to be a piece of artwork that you can proudly display for years to come.​
